LOL don't do that to me, yea I like your rims a lot I almost went with them (DD)s a while ago from Mustangtuning.
Thanks! Those are pretty nice rims the razors, are you gonna do the Shelby front bumper to? Or you sticking with the 6er bumper?
For now I am sticking with the stock bumper and decide later whether or not to go with the CS6 frt bumper , justin what is your opinion on the CS6 bumper vs the stock bumber since we seem to have the same taste (blk,DD,etc) in cars?
Incase you didn't see it check in the apperance modificatin forum I have it ps both ways.
His gt is making 900 hp its not a 2005 mustang though. I think its a 2002. It is supercharged and my guess would be the engine isnt stock didnt really ask questions. Now th enext car they have is a Ford GT. 700 hp i believe he says its making. its got alot of roush logos on it so im guessing its got roush blower or something. They sell a sweet convertible but its just the shell fo rlike 60k. You have to buy a motor and a transmission but they have one built that they built on speed channel. Cant really fidn a pictur but ill attach a picture of a cobra that they look like. as for their shop its got a couple offices in the front then a show room for the cars they build and then a big warehouse fo rparts. They dont work on customer cars there though just sell parts. Ill tak esome pics of it when i get my cs6 grille if i can remember.
Hey I love the Shelby Front bumper, I like it cause its different and you get to keep whatever v6 grill you want and I also like how they designed it to go along with the Gt side skirts and rear bumper which we both have So I think it would look bad*** on your car!

I really searched the net and looked at similar wheels to the Razor's in chrome on S197 Mustangs and different size rims and decided between the Chrome and the Silver it will be the silver Razors no doubt, the other thing I will not be going with 20x9 inch like on the CS6 but instead 18X9, below is a side view of the Silver Razor's.
That looks awesome TJ, So you decided to go with the CS6 front bumper?

Final Decision

Thanks Justin
I am going first get the hood, stripes and wheels on first to see how it goes and looks then will come the decision about the CS6 bumper but I do like it.
The rims its funny if someone would ask me just months ago would I ever put 20" rims I would have said no way. LOL
This is the only thing I am not 100 % sure I like the look of 20" Razor's on the Shelby but am thinking going to the smaller size hope it doesn’t affect the look that I see with the 20’s. I not 100% sure on the size I am going with yet ( that’s why I put any last min advice?) I think it looks good with 20’s and I can’t believe I said that. LOL
I think the total height of the wheel tire setup will remain about the same whether I go 17,18,or 20 because the larger the wheel the lower the profile of the tire becomes.
So a 20" inch setup should be about as tall as a 17 or 18" setup but I will double check on this before I order.
Justin what is your opinion 20’s?
Also I don’t know if the car is setup susp wise or tuned when running 20’s I don’t think so but not sure.
Rogue is right, I ask this question of Jason at Hillbank and he confirmed it was the size of the brake rotors that dictated the 20-inch wheels. I was down at my Ford dealership tonight and they had a custom mustang with Baer brakes, that I believe, are the same size as the Shelby CS6 is using.
wow those are big ass brakes o_O. I liek the look of 20s makes it so you dont need to lower your car. I would never get them though just because of the effect on track time

Yeah those are huge brakes, But I like your post, I wouldnt get 20's cause the affect on the car, If you want a light weight combo then defintely go with the 18's they still look good and if you plan on changing the suspension it gives you a little gap to play with, but if you want the 20's then go for it, It will slow you down a bit but if thats what you like than go for it. Go to www.tirerack.com and put 18's and then put 20's, LOL! It gives you sum kinda idea.

Justin good points, also man I forgot about that Tire Rack garage similator (thanks) that is awesome I remember that from like a year ago went through every rim today on a black Mustang, those OZ Giottos’s wow around $920.00 each LOL.
@ Rogue man I keep eyeing your window scoops.
@ petepete
Yea I was talking about Jason’s 05 GT I didn’t know about the 02 wow 900hp LOL Nice Cobra pic yea take your camera next time you go and bring back some pictures for us.
@ Pyrat yea that rings a bell I remember reading that now at CS forum, the one thing is I have to research a little more I remember in the GT MF forums guys talking about the suspension being tuned or tweak by Ford for the optional 18’wheels. So I am going to have research for confirmation and if true what it was anyone know any truth to this?
Paxton Novi 1200 S/C picture thought I would post it.
Shelby builds road race inspired cars so the brakes do make you go faster by letting you go deeper into a corner before you have to brake. The 20-inch wheel vs smaller wheels comes down to the weight of the tire/wheel combination. For the sake of this discussion let's ignore sidewall flex, tread width, etc. If you're planning on keeping the overall diameter of your wheel/tire the same it issue becomes can you be lighter by eliminating tire mass for wheel mass. The answer is yes IF you are willing to buy really expensive wheels but for most of us, probably not. If you are planning on drag racing only, get a set of really narrow light wheels and tires for the front and the lightest widest wheel/tires you can find for the rear and leave the brake as they are.
I will probably go with an 8.8 rear end, aluminum driveshaft, the Shelby suspension, brakes and wheels initially, then add the Paxton, although the X-Charger looks really nice, headers and dual exhausts. I'm not sure I want to go with their body kit though. Although it looks really nice, I am considering just cutting the V6 bumper cover for the second exhaust, adding a CDC ducktail and fabricating a mount for a '69 mustang front spoiler. The other advantage of going this route, there is no reason to pay top dollar for the brakes, wheels, etc. from a Shelby authorized dealer, so the over all cost of the project is greatly reduced. I need to make the decision soon, though, $900 with shipping for a 8.8 rear end with 3.55s or $770 with shipping for the same thing with 3.31 gears. (If I could gust get some one to tell me about the rear OEM drive shaft compatibility)

Go with the $770 one and put in 4.10 gears ($149 rpmoutlet.com). Where did you find the 3.31 for $770 shipped?
Pyrat the OEM driveshaft will work but you have to pull the yoke off the 7.5 and install it on the 8.8 but double check it out. I been waiting to find out what your plans are nice!! I was getting ready to ask. :)
What about labor putting in the 4.10's unles you have the knowledge to do it your self.
