I will be purchasing a 2007 GT/CS sometime before May, and I was wondering if anyone had bought one of these and what was the feedback on it. I like the more aggressive ride height, the rims, the shelby GT-500 kit, 2 tone interior, etc. etc. How much did you pay for yours, how much did you guys pay for a normal GT?
All the ones at the dealership are marked at $30,800. The one I want is Lazer Red, it was G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S. We figure to talk them down to around 26,000 and we will be either trading in my car for the $8,500 appraised trade in value, or the $10,000 appraised private party value. Either way we hope to be coming out paying less than $20,000 for the car. It's a coupe, and I might want to order the performance package too that adds 20bhp. Anyone order that package, and if so are you happy with it?
Sorry, I want to get all the angles on my new car before I buy it. If you are dissapointed with your car please speak up and tell me why!
Well first good luck trying to get that much for your car. I had a '00 V6 that had 10k miles on it(was a car i took to shows) and i had to pull teeth to get $8,400 for it and that included all of my old body panel's, rims and tires. 2nd the California Special is not lower or anything than the regular GT's it just has a different front lip on it kinda like the CDC chin spoiler. Anyways i paid $28k for my 07 with my trade and an extra $500 down so i i was under $20k. If i were you i would stay away from the Ford racing pack and just go with a good CAI and tuner like Evolution, Brenspeed or Bamachips because that Ford pack isn't covered under warrenty so why not go with something better to begin with . When i originally placed my order it was for the CS but i later decided to saved the $1200 for just a different front and rear bumper to put towards some other mods. Good luck on selling your old stang and with getting yourself a new one. You won't be disapointed at all going from the v6 to the v8 :)

Your not going to be able to talk them down unless you have a huge down payment. Those things have so many upgrades on them that it will be hard to get one for cheap. Good luck tho. and not to be a dick, but you wont get that much for your car. I have only had my car for a couple months and the value is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less then what i bought it for. They wanted to give me 9-10 grand less then what i payed for it and its a 06. But like i said before, good luck.

Brought my Black 07 GT/CS off the lot after searching for several weeks. Dealer was 70 miles away. The ride height is the same as the GT only the front fasica is 1.5" lower. I do love my car and usally I have to push my way to my car because of all the people eye balling her. At times I just push the panic alarm on the key fob and they all back off. I don't how many time I tell people No this is not a GT500 and no the CS doesn't stand for Carroll Shelby but California Special. I got my GT/CS for x-plan pricing and my Credit Union had a 1% off the total price sell, so the car listed for over 30,000 and the total off was about 2500 with no trade.

They appraised the car at $8,500 so I'm not worried at all about getting any lower ... I'm going to try my best to get higher :). My car is only 4 years old with 50,000 miles on it. No damages at all, flawless paint / int., etc. etc. The reason we figure we can talk them down is we bought an '88 Ranger from them back when I was born, a '98 F-150 from them (When we told them we bought the ranger they took the price from $27k to $19k), we bought a 2002 V6 Mustang from them (Told them about the other 2 and they took it from $14,500 to $10,500), and bought a 2003 Expedition from them (took the price from $40,000 to $31,000)... I would say $25,000 is within reach.
As for the racing pack, I will take your advice on that. You guys all happy with its power???

It's not flood damaged...is it? $26K for a CS/GT? Wow! The dealer where I bought my '05(before trading it in) had an automatic black CS/GT with every option(side air bags, heated seats, Shaker 1000, satellite radio and the auto trans) for $34,000!!!!! No mark up either. Jump on it young man! And good luck with your new ride......(as Napoleon Dynamite would say "Lucky!")
My '07 CS convertible listed for $36k (msrp) and I paid $32.9 plus tax and tag. Mine is an auto, although I wanted a stick. I got this from a smaller dealer and it was the only one they had. It's black with a black cloth top on the dove/black leather interior. I like it a lot, and now that I have the automatic, it turns out I like that too. Good luck

Woooow I had about the best luck EVER today.
I work at a video store, and one of the floor managers at the dealership I am talking about came in to open an account! Right when he said he worked at the dealership, I said I had gone there the other day to look at 2007 GT/CS's. He asked if I liked them, I said yea I loved the dark red one in back, but how low can he get one for us... He said he remembered that car, and also told me "I can get it down to $25,000 if I kick in every rebate I can find for you man"... I said "Wow, and I will probably be trading in my 2002 Mustang V6". He asked if it was the one outside, I said yea, and he asked what we (they) appraised it at, I said $8,500. He said he could try and get $9,000 for it. (I was really nice to him even before I found out he was a floor manager, and I gave him big big discounts, lol). Basically if I am to understand right -
$30,800 2007 GT/CS Torch Red Coupe -$5,000 -------- $25,000 -$9,000 -------- $16,000 2007 GT/CS Torch Red Coupe 5 Speed
Hey what are you waiting for go get that GT-CS Man before someone else does!

I didn't expect him to be saying something like that, lol ... I was planning on getting it before next January, but getting opinions on it way before then ... If all works out then by November I will hopefully be in this car ... I want a 5 speed, but I will be doing Highway driving every single day for the next 4 years if I go to USM. So $25,800 ($16,800ish) sounds like a good deal?

That's less than what I paid for my '06 GT with $3,000 off sticker! Hell yeah that it a GREAT DEAL. btw will it still be in stock by Nov. 1? Gas prices are coming down, so I'm sure people will start buying V-8 engined cars/trucks more......IMO Get it now if you can, if it slips through your fingers, it'a gonna be a loooooong winter.

Yea, I played the 'It's going to be a collectors item' card on my parents, and them only forking over $5,000 of their own cash must sound pretty enticing since I will foot the other 11 - 13k! However, I did notice that they didn't really 'keep track' of the '#' the car was... And GT/CS parts are available to any GT ... So I am guessing it won't be a collectors item like the old SVTs were?

I'm not sure if the VIN will indicate the difference between a GT and a GT/CS...might want to check with Ford or dealership about this. Although a GT/CS will be hard to replicate to the average modder due to the changes involved(reupholstered seats, unique front/rear fascias, dash panel cover, side stripping) I mean it's possible, but if you can proof documentation(i.e. window sticker-which will prove matching VIN #s), then I think a GT/CS will always command a premium over a normal GT. For that price you're speaking of.....my friend, it's a no-brainer! Good luck!

The reason i haven't jumped all over this deal is we are expecting some money from a lawsuit back in 2003. The money was supposed to have been here by 8/22... But we still haven't received it. When we get that ($50,000) I'll be all over it... You have a normal GT, right? What did you pay???
