hello, this is my first post here. i am also new to mustangs. i have 2 of them and plan on doing two different things with them. the 84 2.3 turbo that has been changed out for a 5.0 is my main project right now. i have a gt-40 motor for it to swap inplace of the curent 1982 LTD motor. the car also has a 3 speed truck tranny in it right now. i would like to put in a 4 speed, or a 5 speed. i am on a budget and cant afford a new world class or a tremic (sp?). i was wondering what out there would bolt up in place and still use the same flywheel and clutch setup. any info is greatly appreciated. </P>

well a t-5 out of a 90 model or newer should hold up. the clucth will not work because of different splines and i am not sure about the fly wheela new clutch will run you around 99$ but that is just for a stock replacement clutch.

I doubt that the flywheel will work either. However i'll try to see if they use the same flywheel.
