I have raced enough 350's and their G counter parts prior to the new SC install to say  . At the track they were consistent mid 14 second cars stock and the fastest one I've seen was in the mid 13's.
Maybe they should run as fast as you say stock but the guys I talked to at the track seem to share the same thought, they wished they ran what the people on the web say they run.
I know there are faster ones out there and more than a few faster than mine but I have yet to see it, maybe they should consider running SS Cobalts instead?

All cars can be made fast, Most people in here just think that our mustang is the last coke in the desert. I do have other cars but I do know what the other cars are capable. I know a stock gt is no match for a stock srt-8 who ever thinks so prob also pays someone to install their CAI. a 06+ 350z vs a 05+gt is a DRIVERS RACE the cars are just about equal. The 06 350z is 300 hp @ 6.2k with a 7k rpm redline and Weights 3,200-3,350 our Gt is 300hp @ 5.7k with 6,250 redline and weights at around 3,500 lbs, We do have a torque advantage though. The cars are almost equal like I said. I just hate it when people go up and down about how the GT burns every other car in production. I am still waiting to see someone say they owned a z06 c6 vette with just intake, exhaust, gears and tune. That will be the day, prob has been said already though.

Not every, but the 350z, you betcha. I know this thread is old, but what better time to chime in since it's alive again? Stir it up a bit so to speak. With my luck karma will put me next to an 11 second 350, which would be nice because then I could report back that I have seen one beat a Mustang!

i'll put you next to a 11 second 350z. I see you live in illinois and you go to GLD. I live in Wisconsin and I also go to GLD so does my buddy with his procharged 350z. We are definately planning on going soon so PM me so I can keep you updated.

Why even mention the rev limiter on each car? The mustang is making full power first. I don't see an advantage to shifting at 7k for the 350z if it's not making any more power after 6200k. My rev limiter is set at 6800, so what?
I like the looks of the 350z, never riden in one. I considered one until i realized I could get a mustang gt premium for $3,000 less.

Wow this thread won't die, lol. Well, while I'm at it, I offer this:
Stock, 350Z (of any year before '07) vs New Edge GT is driver's race. 350Z (any year before '07) vs '05+ GT is driver's race w/ the advantage going to the Mustang. The new '07 and GT is prob totally up to driver's. As far as I know, the fastest times for a stock Z before '07, was a 13.6xx That is pretty much unrepeatable. That guy had a perfect launch, perfect setup, great track and weather conditions, so on. Best for the new '07 is a 13.3xx, ditto for his results. Generally, 350Z's are low 14 cars. The 13 sec runs are few and far between. The 14.6ish up runs had crappy drivers, crappy cars, or crappy wether/track. I've raced New Edge's in my car, w/ varied results. Stock or near stock, I usually get them, espec if it's from a roll. A few mods on the GT, or a Mach 1, or early Cobra, it's over, unless they have a crappy driver. I haven't raced a S197 GT yet, but look forward to it.

The last Z I really liked was my fathers 1990 300Z Twin Turbo, that car was a blast and cool looking.
