I just read it in Muscle car review. The new GTR will look like the 05 stang but will have other features. This is what it says. "In crate-engine form the Cammer puts out 440hp. But when tuned it can hit 500 hp. (here comes the good part) For a tick just under $15,000!!!!! The new corvette has only 400 hp and it price above $30,000
I was under the impression that the GTR came with the Ford Racing Cammer engine at 5.4L. If so yes it fits in 99-04 and it's available now. Of course I've been wrong before
UNDER $15,000 ????? what in the hell .. we get a V8 with 440 hp ??? hmmmmm that's hard to believe ... and the new Vette Costs about $43,000 ....... omg .... any Track Tests ???

The $15,000 refers to just the stand alone engine. You can always buy a stang with a busted engine for next to nothing and drop that baby in there.

The Cammer engine, last time I checked, was a 302. In my opinion, with $15k you can do one of 2 things: 1)buy this engine and get a modest 440hp. OR 2)do it my way and build a turbocharged 393 stroker w/ a projected output of possibly as much as 850 hp+ for the exact same price. Of course if you don't know what you're doing or are just lazy, a crate engine is a good way to get excellent performance :)
