Ok, someone tried to tell me that my mustang wasnt a 5.0, he said Ford was sued later on for false advertisment or something and its really like a 4.6???? It clearly says 5.0 on the engine and title, vin# etc. whats up with this one?
I dont think it was a fake. There are waaay too many forums that all take it as common knowledge that our 94's are 5.0's. Im sure it would be much more widely spread, especially in the mustang worlds that these forums have. Im calling BS.
Its not technically a 5.0, I think its a 299 or something like that. I just remember it wasn't the correct displacement on late 94-95. But no engine is exactly a 5.0, or a 4.6

The engine in the Mustang was a pushrod V8 302 c.i. (5.0 liter) until 1996. In 1996, ford switched to an OHV 2 or 4 cam (Cobra motor) 281 c.i. (4.6 liter) V8. The body style did not change until 1999, therefore the 1994-1998 models all looked the same, but had two different drivetrains. Ford was NOT sued for false advertising. Maybe your friend should do a little more research before making such a claim...
Since you have a 1994 model, it should be a 5.0 liter 302 V8....
