I didnt think the GT would stand up that much. Since there heavier and **** but suprized me. I still think it should fly by the SRT but w/e lol

CAi and tune it would. He started in 3rd gear going around 25-30.

Yea, my mistake, I heard it now, I counted a downshift as a regular shift.

I have heard 2 things on this. Is it because you can break the trans, or just because the ratio it to high?

Well, 5th is OD. When you shift to that gear you pretty much take a dive. Really, you should stay in 4th as long as you can. Sounded like he had alot more time left to stay in forth before he shifted. (Your not gonna break the trans)

no he started in 1st, count the shifts. that's one thing about stangs, they have a real loooong 5th gear

nice race... I stayed neck and neck w/ an SRT-4 that was stock in a 96 z28 I used to have.

Exactly....Also the GT is electronically limited to 143....He should have just held it in 4th and once he reached his limiter....He should have let off or hit his flasher.....No real racer goes to 5th gear.....These guys are rookies.
