Default took down a twin turbo Z

i was in cruising the mall and there was this kid with a 90+ 300zx twin turbo. he kept revving up to me so i told him where and when. he actually showed up, that's a shocker. so i told him light to light for $50. he pulls out some cash and sets it on his dash, i do the same. light turns green we go, he jumped me off the line but i passed him at about 65 in 2nd. put it into 3rd and shut down at the next light. he asked what i was running, i told him and he gave me the $50.

Default RE: took down a twin turbo Z

car and driver stats:

engine: v6 (2960cc) twin turbocharged and intercooled, iron block and aluminum heads DOHC 24 valves, variable valve timing

crank horsepower: 300 hp @6400 rpm
crank torque: 283 lb-ft @ 3600 rpm

0-60 mph: 5.0 sec
1/4 mile: 13.7 sec @ 102 mph

the car also came with a viscous limited slip differential.

i'm surprise you beat him, especially on the top end. they gain pretty good power from modifications. the ones i have seen were slightly modded and running 12s. good kill on the z.

stock they ran low-mid 14s. and he was trying, those turbos were ****ing screaming. i run high 13s to low 14s, depending on how the track is hooking and the PSIs in my tires. it was a driver's race an i am happy i won, cause now i got $50 to blow on something.

good kill. the 300ZX runs about a flat 14. they have a very good powerband for a V6 also.
