And i know that we are all Mustang enthusiats and that we are better than others but...i am facing reality here and noticing that the new c6 is comming out at the same time as the new mustnag and it is still turnin more hp than us, just like before. And i think that Ford need to pick it up a little if they want to out run the corvette. Lets face it, a stock vette vs a stock mustnag, we stand no chance. Shoot, my mach1 wont even keep up w/ my dad's 01 vette and i haevt he same mods he does, full Bassani. UGGH this is depressing.

Not to stray off topic but look at the price dif. then take that dif. and dump as much as you can into your 4.6 and you will be right with it or roasting it. I like this more

whew.. that candy apple red with the white racing stripes is appealing....if i have the money...one day that car will be mine :)....o and to note on your corvette arguments....the corvette in my opinion is a higher class than the mustang... and not even comparable.. the only chevy car that compared wit the mustang was camaro... but it coukd never keep up. thats justy my opinion. The vette is up there with the viper and other super cars i guess u can call them

As for the corvette being faster? I agree with 99_gtx.The Corvette is and should be faster when price is factored in.The C6 corvette's base price is a little over $50,000.The 2005 Mustang GT's price is just over $25,000.In other words,you could buy 2 brand new 300hp 2005 Mustang GT's for the price of just one 400hp 2005 C6 Corvette.Or you could buy one new stang and $25,000 worth of upgrades of your choosing.a C6 Corvette is a very nice car in its own right,but is way overpriced when compared to a 2005 Mustang.

edit--If you really think about it.The Ford GT is way overpriced when compared to the C6.You could buy a C6 and still have around $100,000 in upgrades to reach the GT's base price of just under $150,000.

i agree, i love the ford GT, but $140,000 is just ridiculous, they should price it around 80, to compete with the viper

Jay Leno already took delivery of a new GT. its in the new MM&FF. now, back on topic, that car is SWEET looking !!!! i like the exhaust. but, its sexy lookin overall.

The red with the white racing stripes is one of the best Mustangs I've ever seen.

red w/ white looks good on damned near any sports/muscle car. but, i prefer white w/ black, black w/ silver, or silver w/ blue.....too many combo's possibly that would look sweet. but, yeah, the red/white def looks good.

Kinda partial to the dark metallic purple myself.Red look good also.

Thx man.Seems like I get a lot of compliments,thumbs up,devil horns,you name it wherever I take her.Its a color combination that isnt common on any car.So maybe thats why it gets all the attention,I dont know,but I can say your right,pictures do no justice.

As for #'s.I wouldnt know,I never dynoed it.Kinda lazy I guess.I havent done much to her yet,4.11 gears,flowmaster exhaust,MSD distributor,MSD 6AL box,battery in trunk,Koni shocks,cross-drilled rotors,Cobra R's, and she was chipped before I got it.I'm still new to this(bought the car a year ago) so I havent done any internal engine mods yet.Just fast enough for me,and too fast for Honda's at the stoplights.;)

The plan is tax time=twin turbo time.Cant wait!!!:D
Now,hopefully the wife n kids let me stick with the plan. "I really need these hairdryers on here to keep the engine warm honey"

Well the Mustang is more affordable if you want Ford to pick it up with the Corvette then we will be paying the price. Corvettes are not cheap unless you work for them then you get like a huge discount. I see them everywhere anyways.

that picture alone has swayed me into being a mustang lover. i always liked stangs, but if that comes out...i comes out.

Saw it on Corral already, but I just found out about this site a couple days ago... I've seen it in Pepper Gray/Black stripes before, on the other two sites, but I gotta say I like this one more...:D There's actually a company out that's Shelby-certified to make your car into a tribute Shelby, with all the stripes, decals, and most importantly Carroll Shelby's sig and a certificate of authenticity...

A Sonic Blue 05 with a Cervini kit and Halibrands will be in my driveway by this time next year... only problem is that it's gonna be MOM'S...

There are 2 companies... one, taking 67-68 fastbacks and making them movie reproductions, is Unique Performance. That's where I'm going to order all my stuff to build one myself. www.uniqueperformance.com

The other is some company in Florida, go on Ebay and search for "Shelby tribute" in Parts & Accessories... I don't 100% recall the name of the company or website, or I'd post it. They do 94-05's, with the 05's available as 100% turnkey cars--dunno if they're out yet, though.
