finally ran my buddy...02 GT

i was coming back from seattle and this guy in a 03GT starts riding my ass. i move up and over and he starts pacing me. i could tell by the lack of sound that he was stock. i kinda gave him the "dont waste my time" look and went about my listening of beetoven.
a few minute later i happen upon a yellow GT with i/e/pulleys and cosmetics. i quickly realize this is my friend joel. he always wanted to run me. we almost went when i was less modded but neither one of us wanted to go in traffic. last night we had no cars in front of us. when he saw me i gave him the go sign and he took off. his car is quick and runs mid 13's or so, but...well you know. i thought he had gears, but when i saw him at work i asked. he is still stock geared. i still want to run a GT w/ gears to see how the pull is. maybe next time. good fun. we only went from 60-85 or so.

but 60-85 isnt much of a race heheheh. thats more like passing in the fast lane!!![8D]

huh yuh know it seems like people are actually finding out the new GTs are quick. huh who new.

well, i put it in third at 60 and gunned it. by the time i got to 85 i was a couple cars ahead and i dont like speeding too much. 85 put me in fourthat about 5500 rpm so i was good to go. there was no way for him to catch me. i understand this. i have +100hp and-700lbs. just some fun runnin'.

well i just went and talked to my buddy. (we work in the same building) turns out he does have 3.73 gears as well. so my quest to run the geared stang is over. he is installing a nitrous system fro the races on the 21st. he plans on running a 100 shot, so we should come out pretty even. i will post details in a couple weeks.

nah, 3.73's don't count

gears aren't very helpful anyways once you get up to speed, so it don't count even more now [sm=sorry.gif]

I knew. I also know that there are other cars that can/will be faster than a GT too.
