I have Flowmaster 40 Series True dual w/ H-pipe and it sounds GREAT! If you're going to stick with the single exhaust deffinitly go with MRT, those mufflers on a single exhaust sound AWESOME! Very Loud, very throaty and deffinitly muscular!

Oh one other thing, if you get a true dual with no H-pipe or X-pipe then it does actually sound somewhat ricey...

www.MRT-direct.com They have a V6 specific setup with mounts, clamp, and tip. Perfect for people who don't want to have a shop install and do it yourself. It's what I got and never could be happier. Drone is in all honestly very minimal, the muffler most of the time is quite mellow. I think people complaining about it are babies

When you start the car and hear it growl you'll never look back.

The aftermarkets mufflers I have heard make the V6 sound "throaty." Nothing like that annoying "ricey" "fart-pipe four" sound.

Hopefully I will be upgrading my muffler situation soon. I'm still trying to decide which direction to go.

I say it's ricey. In fact, I think I'm going to leave my CAI off, I'm liking how quiet the car is with the stock airbox, and frankly, I cant feel the extra HP its supposed to be giving me.

To each their own, though. I just think it should be seen and not heard.

Flowmasters with H-pipe. Not ricey at all. Sounds great. A bit better performance overall. Don't get a plain "muffler"???

My experience with the C&L intake has been different from most on the forum. I do not hear the intake at all. I hear the GT take-off muffler, but not the intake (I'm a vert, so the car sounds differently). Stratjakt, I don't remember your set-up, but an aftermarket tune is designed to be used with a CAI, so your car may not perform well with the stock airbox (unless the tuner set it up to run with the stock intake).

I love the dual flows set-up. It doesn't sound ricey at all and it's well worth the money.

Why modify a GT Mustang when a GT500 would be running mid-10's with the same mods???????

(does anybody else feel a sense of deja vu?)

THANK YOU!

Isn't this supposed to be the "V6 Sepcific" part of the Mustang forum? Therefore you can kiss our asses and go **** yourself. GT's come with a true dual exhaust therefore an upgrade axleback isn't going to do **** for you asshole. Whereas on a V6 which has a y-pipe, it DOES free up approximatly 10RWHP adding duals and an aftermarket muffler. I've seen the dyno test.

P.S. Do you REALLY think it's cool to show a picture of your car being pulled over? You're a real hard ass now!

Don't let one_focused_svt get to you. He's generally a good guy. But it demonstates that many folks just don't understand the fun of building up a V6. BTW, his "pulled-over" photo was staged (which shows that some cops have a good sense of humor!)
