I have been looking into shifters for an AOD tranny. And I have been impressed with the B&M hammer shifter for the stang. Has anyone out there used it, or heard anything on it?
On a side note, what exactly do those kits do, from reviews, I have understood that it turns your auto into a "semiauto" where you shift like a manual, but there is not clutch. Correct me if I am wrong
a shifter won't do that... i can shift my auto manuallysoo no big deal.. anyone can manually shift their auto... a shifter on a stock valvebody is just for looks...u have to put on a manual valvebody in order to get that manually shifting with out the clutcc pedal...

The big deal with the B+M shifters is that you can bang the gears with out going past the gear you want to be in. (It will only shift to the next gear not from first to thirds and so on) Its worth it if youre racing. For the street, save your money leave it in drive and let it do what it was made to do.
