Hi guys i was searching for a 05 GT video and i end up in a GTO forum where there was a video of a GTO vs 05GT and the GT loses but someone said the GTO had basic bolt ons. If the two of them were bone stock which one will get the kill?

The 05/06 GTO (stock vs stock) is a faster car and with equal drivers the GTO will win every time by about .5 seconds at the track.

My sop dyno strongly favors the GTO and backroad toying around also proves the GTO to be a few ticks faster! Maybe if i had full exhaust and underdrive pullies on the stang it would've evened the score! There are a couple post over there of guys having their hands full with some new stangs now and then but they never find out what mods the stangs have! But stock to stock, there is no comparison, GTO easily will win. But, the driver mod will make all the difference in the world!

I've personally have yet to see a Stock Gto run below 13.7.Take for what it's worth.You'll here alot of guys on here give advice from what they read in mags. etc.Or what they see a GTO Dyno at means absolutley nothing.Get out to the track and see for yourself.The GTO does have a nice motor but it's a pig and hard to get it to hook.Stock fo stock the Mustang will walk the GTO.Anyone who say's otherwise have not seen the cars enough in person.(Case in point the newbie GM hippo who seems to think the GTO is a half second faster LMAO)This ia what I'm referring to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR3CWpQIdic ^^^3 car lengths before second gear^^^ http://www.modernracer.com/pontiacgtols2.html 2005 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L V8 5.1 13.5 (MT Jan 05) Of course the GTO will Dyno better it has an ls2 engine with 400 hp. im with this guy. i have not seen one run better thena 13.9@101. but at the same time i have not seen a GT run better then a 14.0@100. but have heard that they are both faster then that, which i do believe. which i only seen them run in the summer, so in good weather, they are both solid mid 13 cars. quote:

05/06 GTO (LS2) will be faster than a stock 2005/2006 GT 5M. 04 GTO (LS1) is a good race for the 2005/2006GT 5M stock vs. stock.

I ran 13.5 to his 14.02 on that run which I had ran that stock with a better 60ft. My best on that setup was 13.3 and then a 13.0 with drags and a tune.

My friend's brother has a LS2 GTO (05-06) and he runs high 13's at 104+ but he cant launch for crap. My other friend has an LS2 GTO and has totally trashed every mustang GT he has come up against (99-04s) by multiple cars. He also beat his roommates SRT4 which is running LOW 13's at around 110. The LS2 GTO is tricky to get off the line, but if you can manage that, it will own the GT.

If you do more searching you will find many people with STOCK GTO's running lower 13's over on the LS1forums! Don't find that here without mods! Yes there are people also running 14's and 15's also, just like here too, driver skill and track conditions are everything! Like I said before, i had the popular mods on my GT and it still wasn't up to the GTO stock! And as far as the torque comment winning races, your out gunned again by 75ft/lbs at much lower rpms with the GTO. I could really care less who would win races between the two as so many factors will decide the outcome. But to listen to people glorify what they have and not know the competetion based on what others done or in videos, thats just foolish! All things equal, the GTO will win every time, thats why car magazines do these test, to keep all things equal! When they do those shoot-outs, its on the same track with the same drivers in the same conditions. I'd love to see ya post a link for that were the GT out ran the GTO! Sorry for the rant but some people don't want to hear the truth, yeah i realize people bleed blue here but they also have to be openminded that there are other muscle cars that are always going to be faster and many even faster than a GTO! But hey, thats what mods are for!

Maybe you missed the link were the Mustang pulled 3 lengths on the goat video.I suspect youv'e never even been to a track in person.If you have you would see for yourself the GTO is to heavy to run with the Mustang.I personally raced a 05 GTO than ran 14.5 and 14.3.Time slips were posted earlier this summer.My Mustang has never been to the track Stock so I couldn't tell you what a conv would put down.But Iv'e seen other GTO race at Milan here in Michigan and have yet to see a stock GTO run mid 13's PERIOD.My heart gets pumpin alot faster when I line up with an LS1 Camero or Vette than a LS2 GTO have never personally lost to one and have never seen one run mid 13's stock.Saw a charger srt8 run low 13's twice but never a GTO.Your post is completley ignorant.
