You know damn well my shifter broke/clutch plate came loose after the 1st run. Only run was 2.56 60'/ 13.69 @ 109. First ever run with 19's strapped with crappy 235's.

Here's my crappy 13.3 @ 109 run against the srt-8. I was testing out the camera and will put it at a 45 degree angle in the future. You can see how bad I boune after shifts.
I hate magazine racing but I've read a few articles with the GTO vs the SRT8's cars from Dodge and it was basically a dead heat in every test. Do you Mustang guys believe that you can beat an SRT8 Charger too? Reason I ask is I see an awful lot of GTO kills posted but where are the SRT8 kills? The SRT8 guys are pretty sure about stock high 12second passes too.
Go Blue If I am gonna go to teh track for you the least you can do is give me 2 roll races that way we can test our cars and know how well we can launch. Thats the point right? To test the cars? What time should I show up Friday?
man, it took forever to catch up with all these post since yesterday afternoon! It seems people have come to the basic understanding that the LS2>05+GT stock for stock. That's what i was getting at in my initial post. I seem to be the only one here with both of these AWESOME cars and i wasn't trying to B.S. anyone, just to give the original person honest feedback based on my findings (from owning both) to his question of stock vs stock. Glad to see tempers settling down some, lol! I did make the comment that my stang (mods in sig) would loose to my stock GTO and still swear by it. Although, i also said that pulleys and exhaust could even the score! So, intirely possible a full bolt-on GT will hang with a stock GTO. No arguements about that from me! I think we all seen enough time slips to get the feel for these cars! Even though i now have a goat, i like to still hang out here once in a while to try and give unbiased feedback on these types of questions and see other cars you guys are pounding up on the streets, lol!

A GTO running a high 12 isn't a made up thing..but it will be a semi-rare thing. Its POTENTIALLY capable.. same as an F-Body... (we have WAY more F-Bodys than GTOs in the world so its not a shock that we have multiple confirmed high 12 stock F-Bodys).. Not everyone can do it. Hell I have an 01 LS1 M6 and I can't get the times the car is capable of. People who see me at the track think we all run 13.4 ~ 13.5 stock (which isn't all that bad).. but I know there is plenty more (considering Ive ran 13.5 @ 93mph before after biffing a shift).. Hell even if I can knock a tenth off my 60ft I should see a nice low 13 second pass...but the driver sucks. LOL
I don't think ALL GTOs can run a high 12 but the potential is there and a low 13 should be obtained by the best drivers with ease.

Yep! Not bad for 100 degree, 90% humidity, 3020DA, barametric pressure of 29 drag day here in mid Florida. Just to let you know, corrected that is 11.3 at 125 - right where my car is suppose to be with my mods. All this happened on a 1.86 60ft on little 245 BFGs . . .
