Default SALEEN LOWERING SPRINGS QUESTION 05-06

did your springs settle alot after a couple of weeks? if so was it a big difference. I bought some saleen springs this weekend at the car show because IMO it seems like saleen mustangs have a level look to it. I have seen some saleens that look kind of high and some look a little lower. who makes saleen's springs? thanks

Saleen springs are made by Racecraft. If the springs you are comparing are different lengths, but are said to be the equal hight to each other when installed in car, they are different rates. I figure there may be a little settling, but this is probably due to the spring pad working it's way into groove. I recommend taking the spring pads out anyway to get an extra 3/8" inch or so lower without changing the rate

Racecraft is the shock, the springs and rest of the lowering/stiffening kit is Eibach I believe. I have not noticed my car settling any [&:] BUT I have seen a few '05 S-281's in pictures that appear to be higher in the back than most S281's I've seen. Not sure what that is all about - maybe a batch of rear springs that were a tad longer?? But I don't think they are designed to "settle", except of course when you mash the gas

My '02 has Racecraft springs, so sounds like Saleen has made a change and I wasn't even consulted [sm=headbang.gif]
