R.I.P. my love *Updated w/pic* *Updated Again*
Today is a sad today, I am no longer the owner of an 86 5.0L, I was drivng across a dirt field when my gas tank caught fire, I tried what I could to stop the fire but it was hopeless, also not pretty, sorry no pictures, too painful
peace.....

not sure what a mustang was doin in a field or dirt, but thats too bad about your car, hope insurance covers it for ya and you can get another one.

if you go through insurance, they might make you take a polygraph on that one man, get a witness or something

^ put pennies between your toes, i've heard myths about that affecting the polygraph! LOl thats ridiculus, do they really make you take a poly for a fire ins. claim, or does the middle of a field thing set off a red flag?

so, yeah the source was the seal that goes between the filler neck and the gas tank, must've leaked and caught fire on the exhaust [:@] and I was driving on a dirt road by a field, i should explain, by the time I noticed the fire I was already on pavement in the parking lot of a Toys 'R Us

I have NEVER heard of an insurance company making you take a poly test for a insurance claim for a 1986 mustang [&:]
I dont know where you live but they dont do that sh*t in NJ....especially for a 86 Mustang that blue book is prob like 2K for it.... if that!
