Default How bad is this for my car.

Ok I didnt realize I had my automatic in first and i floored it, and my car hit red line for like 2 or 3 seconds untill i realized what I did, how bad is this for my car.

Alright cause it did it for like 2 or 3 seconds and it didnt sound good, so i was kinda worried.

I did that accidentally, I was at a stoplight and I put it into first. Luckily I accelerated slowly and realized before I accelerated to redline.
