Hello all, I just bought my first Mustang. I picked up a 95 GT Vert as a daily driver. Not going to be modding it too much, I save that for the Vette, but I do plan on cleaning it up, and making everything right. Car is Black\Tan with 18 inch SRS Wheels and Flowmaster Exhaust, and a K&N Filter

It sounds like it has a cam also.

Look forward to making some new Ford friends, I have made many on the Corvetteforum over the years.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Mustangs. You will soon find out that Fords are better than Chebby's

I highly doubt it, but I do realize the value in the little Pony Express 5.0 - Good Bang for the bucks, at least it used to be....

Now the new Cobra SVTs are way OVERPRICED!!!

I don't know, considering new vettes cost around $45K, and that cobra will smoke any of em, possibly even ZO6 with minor mods ($100 pulley)

True dat! Chevy is over rated. If they were any good thered still be Camaros and T/A's. Off the record the ram air T/A's were HOT AS HELL GM or not.

Whoa, I dont want to get off to the wrong foot here!

I have a Stang too!

But really, the Vette is a MUCH BETTER CAR....

And the Z06.....nothing can touch it in its price range. In a straight line, or on a track.

I think Ford should come out with a new car in the class of Vettes, Vipers, etc.

The Fords are great street cars though, Ive been beat by a few, just make sure you know how to drive because they are a handful, the last time I raced a Stang, was an old LX. The guys asked me if I was a ZR1, which I am not..

He says lets go!

We go from about 30mph, I get a car and a half, hit second and get a bit squirrelly, he hits seconds and loses it!!! He was doing 360s down a 4 lane road!! I bet he hit the NOS or something, I never looked back, I saw his lights bounce a bit, he must of hit the curb. Either he was going to jump me big time or....he doesnt know how to drive or it broke.

No more racing kids in Mustangs for me! If we would have been door to door it wouldve collected me too!

Either way, I like my Stang, but I love my Vette. Dont hate me! Its all cool. I would love a Viper or 911 even more than my Vette!

Great. So where should I begin with the 95? I think exhaust of course. It already has a K&N. I think I will put pulleys on it next. Now I know why so many Stangs are fast.....the prices are great! I just saw a Catback system for less than $300, and springs for $240, and a cam for $169!!!!! Wow! Dirt cheap prices, I have been getting robbed for my "other" car's parts.

Exhaust $1000

Cam $400

Springs $750

Shocks $600

Intake $1000

Headers $600

Pulleys $180

OUCH!!!!!

Whats better Flowmaster American Thunder or The Series II or whatever they call them?

I guess Flowmaster is the best for Mustangs right?

Well, FLowmasters are the most popular with Mustangs, not necessarily the best (though I love mine with the O/R X, it sounds badass). Mac is badass too, my cousin just got that put on with his O/R X, oh my goodness!!! That things sounds like it's ready to take on vettes, lol (it is close though). Those are pretty much the only two I've had experience with.

BTW, not to bring this up again (lol), but I've ridden in both a Vette, and a new Cobra, I would take the Cobra over the Vette anyday And that's not just brand loyalty

We are just sticking up for our own kind is all. I have mad respect for Vettes as well as Grand Nationals. They are in a class by themselves and shouldnt even be thought of as GM's

american thunder system..... best flowmaster kit... do not get u/d pulley's especially on a 95... as i have done on my 95... u will find them to do nothing and make your car run like sh*t.... i know... i'v been there.... i put the stock ones on and aaahhh much better... plus i didn't lose any power... 80 $ pulleys = 80$ paper weight..

Thanks for the tip, I thought these Fords where very receptive to the pulleys. Do the American THunders have any resonance, and do you think they will be too loud for the Vert? I want it to sound better than stock and have a nice deep gurgle on the idle, and a deep roar on WOT, but to sound just a little more aggressive than stock on the cruise.
