Default Dissappointing at the track!!!

Went to the track seaching for low 8.7's in the 1/8th (which would be about 13.5 in the 1/4 mile)with no luck. I ended up with the best of 8.806. Sorry if this post is boring but im feeling a bit blue[&:]. Here is best time of that night:

60'.....2.039
330....5.762
1/8.....8.806
mph...81.34

This was done with mods on sig + nitto drags

I feel your pain. It's disapointing to have a goal and not reach it. I took my 79 Z28 to the track expecting low 14's and ran low 15's. And to make matters worse my wife who has never dragged raced before in her life, drove my srt-4 and beat me by over a second and a half after I told her I'd give her the faster car and still kick her azz!![:@]

Well sorry to hear that you were disappointed but that's still a damn good run for just bolt-ons. Maybe the track conditions weren't perfect for it or something like that.

My head/cam fully built 5.0 ran 14.4@97.84 its first run out. I finally swapped carburetors and ran another low 14 but this time at 98.54 and it was bogging BAD due to a rich condition. After a tune it should be a little faster. I am at least nice enough to tune it before giving her to the old man

I'd be happy with that time with your mods. Thats pretty respectable for a bolt on 2v, and to think you dont have full bolt ons yet, just think of the possibilities.

I would be disappointed with that. Your car stock should run between 13.7-13.9, thats if you have what your screen name is, a 98 Cobra. 15.0 in the 1/4 in a 98 Cobra, you should give me your car. Well, atleast you won 2 races, against a couple Civics probably, j/k. LOL
