Yeh, I'm the third owner, The original owner did a lot of strange things to this car, it looks okay now, but will be totaly different when I'm done, The interior is custom as well as the top, looks bad close up. He also made his own grill, looks like it was made out of shelving stuff. The scoop is non-functional, but it gets me where I need to go. Can't say much for the second owners except they didn't even change to damned oil and had it for a year, the air cleaner was dirty as all hell, and the interior had hard red candy all over it.

That style wouldn't be stock, but I believe that ones covering the whole roof were stock on coupes at least back to 67.

No it's not stock, Like I said it is custom, and yes a complete vinal top is correct, or no vinal would be correct also. I could of course lie and say it was an Idaho dealer option

I know what you mean, It's kind of grown on me, and yes it looks good from a distance, but it's mine and I notice all the details. The half vinal top is kind of butchered... lots of silicone everywhere, but everyone on base knows it's mine.

Several expensive cars had the Landau tops back then, so it was the "in" thing to do, but not on Mustangs.

I'm surprised no one has commented on what appears to be Pammy's daily driver...looks like a 65 goat. I love my Mustang but the first-gen GTOs are top of the list in classic cars for me. And the prices reflect that, so I'll never have one.
