Default Whats the difference between chrome, steel, titanium, & ceramic headers?

Why are Titanium & Ceramic more expensive than Chrome & Steel?

Ceramic (applied over steel)won't rust and can lower the temperature of you engine bay, It also looks really good. Titanium is super light so you go even faster , but it costs a fortune. chrome blues at the exhaust and weighs more plus you need a super smooth surface before you apply the chrome(costs more). Steel rusts, but can be coated, is lighter than chrome or ceramic coated headers. My MAC's are 'aluminized', they have shine to them, but they mark up easily.

I believe titanium is stronger, lighter, and rarer (therefor more expensive) than both nickel and steel. That would pretty much explain it all right there.

as stated Titanium is more rare and harder than steel/chrome. Also with ceramic there is an extra process that must be done in order to do the ceramic coating. It's harder than Chrome dipping and it won't discolor like chrome so of course Ceramic will cost more.
