Default I HATE the nanny buzzer....

....so I removed it. The first thing I do whenever I get a new car or truck, is pull out the darn "you left your headlighs on" "your keys are in the ignition" "your fly is down" buzzer under the dash. In my '02 (and probably in 99-04) you will find a small black box about 5"x7"x1" in size. This box contains the timers for healighs and dome light to turn off after a period of time. It has controls for the drivers window so it will go all the way up/down on a touch. It is located above the hood release handle and in a very tight spot. It has 4 wire connector sets (if memory serves) and you will hear the darn little Satanic beast inside of it [:@]

This little box is DIFFICULT to remove and connects to metal plate via plastic pin on the side. Once this little bugger is out, you can pry open and see a circuit board. On this board is a 3/4" round speaker (here to forward referred to as Satan) You will need to remove this little circuit board from its plastic case and get yourself a small low-wattage soldiering iron. Locate the two little pins on the backside of this circuit board and slowly heat up the little pins while pulling gently on the speaker on the opposite side. You will need to alternately heat each pin until it comes all the way out. Once out, you can have a ritual cleansing of it in an acid pit or just save it to re-install someday when you want to be annoyed.

That is all for today, so keep an eye out for the Mod-Squad.
