I'm going to be slapping on a nitrous kit this winter.
I've read many of the nitrous threads but I notice a lot of posts have been deleted and it made things alittle confusing. My questions are...
1. Nitrous will only engage at WOT correct?
2. Will everything be safe if I suddenly jump out of the throttle after spraying?
3. With colder plugs, will running rich be less harmful to the plugs?
4. Doesn't the timing have to be retarded?
5. With the timing retarded (if needed) & running rich, won't that significantly affect N/A performance?

Most kits now come with switches known as WOT switches, and are either attatched to the throttle body or the gas pedal, and will only complete the curciut when activated (WOT)
Everything will be fine as long as you aren't still spraying. If you are, the throttle plate will stop it and as soon as the plate is opened you will experiance a very nast backfire.
Running rich is always a better idea when running the juice
Timing does have to be retarded
The retarded timing will reduce n/a performance, but you can jet your kit (please buy a wet kit....)'s fuel side to run more than it should, that will take care of running rich.
well go 1 step cooler on plugs you will be ok
Buy a timing retard switch
you can put a delay on when you want the nitrous to come in and how much. invest in a MSD 6al
right nitrous in and of itself cannot blow your engine... I reccomend getting a RPM window switch, this allows nos to engage when the car is above 3000k rpms and will not go over like 7-8k what are the RPMS?
