Anyone here from PA around Pittsburgh? I had a little run in with a black GT tonight and just wanted to see if he was on here, to ask whats done to his car and tell him thanks for playing.

Anyways, I guess I`ll throw in the story incase anyones not sure who I mean.

Around 7 or so (don`t have a clock on my bike), I`m heading home from a little ride, hoping I`ll get to play with someone, not caring for drag racing, I didn`t think anyone would play, except some kid who thinks hes Vin Diesel, but luck would have it I pull up behind a black GT, top down, and see the guy eyeing me up in his rear view, and a niiice rumble... Light turns green and he goes enough for me to move up and get in the other lane, and right as I get over I hear him chirp 2nd gear, so I got on it, and kept up with him until we got to a hill, and then I saw him hit his brakes so I just stayed beside of him until the next light... Next light comes, I`m behind him again, lights green, he moves up enough for me to get over again and takes off before I`m completely in the other lane, but I knew he was gonna go this time, so I was already on it... Both take off, and my front wheels at his back bumper, but we`re comming into an area with plenty of places for cops to hide, so we both chill a bit, I rode by and gave him a thumbs up, hoping he would stay behind me until we came into town so we could talk, but he made a turn somewhere and I wasn`t turning around to go find him.

Anyways, the point of this whole ramble is to say good runs, and just incase you were wondering what you ran, it was a 90 Kawasaki EX500 with exhaust and jet kit, being an inline twin, you would have definatly handed me my ass if we had more road, as you were proving once we got around to *ahem* higher speeds, since twins are more torquey than HPish... If you ever want to go for a run on some twisties hit me up, we`ll see how the tables turn ;)

It's a 13 year old bike. They get tired just like cars do.

Most bikes are fast, for the power to weight ratio plays a big part. But just like cars, thre are slower models that are made, such as the Ninja 600, that won't beat a stock GT.

Bikes are generally faster than cars, but not always. I've beaten a couple of Harleys, haven't had a chance to run a jap bike. If you run sub 13s you can usually take them from a dig, since it's extremely hard to launch a bike. It sounds like your friend is a pretty damn good driver.

Friday night at the local 1/8th, they paired a gsxr 1300 (huyabusa) up with a F&F style supra (not sure what year, same body).  This was a "just for fun thing" but the supra ran a 6.78 and the bike ran a 6.69.  I was like "DAMN"!  it was cool.  The thing about it is that the guy drove the supra 35 miles to the track.  Hopefully, before too long I'll start running my car.  wont be a 6.78 but maybe 8's
