Default Roush superchargers

Is Roush going to follow the coat-tails of Saleen and go to a twin screw blower setup, or are they staying with the rather marginal roots stuff they have been using. Until roush goes with a screw setup, their cars will be second to Saleens as far as thermal efficiency, and thus hp. Current 04 S281sc's are faster than current Roush stage 3's because of the fatter powerband of the superior Lysholm screw unit. Does anyone know Roush's plans?

Let's say this ... since your biased opinioned has already been voiced.

ROUSH's power adder solution will be better than SALEENs ..... as have the Stage 3 superchargers been better than the S281SC blowers.

So when the first SC SALEEN on the new platform lines up next to the ROUSH, the engineering differrence will be as obvious as the 6lbs SC from ROUSH and SALEEN today. ENUF SAID.

Roush's stage 3 blower is directly comparable to Saleen's 'old' series 2 roots blower used in 00-03. Both made 6 psi stock, and both were similarly engineered. Both cars made the same hp. From 04 and on, Saleen has used a Lysholm twin screw,(which makes 8 psi stock) on the S281sc. This blower upped Saleens hp rating over Roush's in 04, and this new screw unit is a lot more thermally efficient than Roush's current stage 3.

Everything I stated was fact, not opinion. I just wondered if anyone knew if Roush will, or has gone to a twin screw unit.

What I know of ROUSH's intentions ... I can not say .... No will not say.

But, I can say the 'old' SALEEN S/C unit did not produce the same amount of power .... real world dynos don't lie. The lowest ROUSH dyno sheet I reviewed at 6lbs was 310rwhp .... whereas the avg was 330rwhp.
Spend some time reading over stock dyno sheets and you'll see the difference.
As for similarly engineered, only in the generic/structural sense can they called the same. ROUSH re-worked a 'few' things to ensure adequate fuel was supplied and better flow from the intake.

The twin screw design is very efficent and light years ahead of the roots config. Shame it took so long for companies to get onboard.

But, for ROUSHs S/C answer .... you will have to wait, awhile.
