-Group 1: Folks that payed $200 for some ABS plastic tubing you can get from home depot for $10 -Group 2: People who are questioning this scam and would like to get good performance at a good price.
that looks unrealistic. 60 hp from air intake is just not possible. Also, the tubing used in that system with disturb the air flow due to added static friction arising from the bends in the tube. A straight flow system, like K&N's FIPK would be ideal for flow based on fluid mechanics considerations. That is why I bought it.
If you had an engine that was capable of making over 1,000 HP and you put the stock Mustang GT inlet, filter, snorkle, and all, it would probably kill over 100 HP. 65 HP over the stock filter at 700 HP sounds reasonable to me.
Which Denscharger would you recomend? Also why does it not include the MAF Meter? Do you use the stock one or would I need an upgraded 85mm or something?
Looks like for a 2003 GT there is the
System # 4: Part # 960246MF 96-04 4.6 GT, Bullitt, Cobra 100mm meter forward system
System # 4C: Part # 46ELPP 96-04 4.6 GT, Bullitt, Cobra 100mm meter forward Powerpack (Looks like the difference is that it has the irridium spark plugs?)
System # 5: Part # 960246GTFL 96-04 4.6 GT System fender to throttle body system (Looks like the difference is the 3-position adjustable filter location, no spark plugs)

I think that the densecharger web site is confusing. I couldn't find the kit that I wanted from the site either. Just e-mail or call them and they will square you away. Get the full length one with the pro-m 85MM MAF and be done with it. If you get anything less, you will probably be tempted to upgrade later anyway. With the full length densecharger I feel like I am done with the CAI mod now. It may not be the best by far, and it may not be the MOST bang for your $$$, but I really very extremely seriously doubt that any other CAI could be any better.
