Chevy Coming Out With Camero Again!

My brother got a magazine and it said chevy is gonna bring back the Camero and me and my brother compared the Camero concept to the 2005 stang and it looks the same besides the head lights and such. When? The magazine says near 2007 but it also said it would not be easy.

honestly i really dont like the new 05 mustangs personaly the reason being is because i dont know why they are doing a re retro of the classic mustang i mean as for the camaro its like the mustang but my main problem is i dont know why they are making re retro car i think they should leave the classics alone i mean if i seen one beside me wow i just be like "thats pathetic" instead of paying like 32,000 on a new one i would used that money to buy a classic and do what ever i wanted do to it i mean the hp on those 05 cars are going to be crazy but the style just like ours which i think alot of classic stangs fans out there are not going to apprieciate the new 05 but appreciate the horse power but thats just my opinion. some will prolly enjoy them but i mean if i where to choose the 05 or the classic i would definitly go for the classic cuz i could spend the same amount of money on restoring the car and its value would be worth more than the 05. but then again maybe its that i have let the 05 set in yet lol maybe later i would prolly say hey its looks tight or sumthing who knows.

Actually, the new 05 GT's don't pack as much punch as they should. If you go over to LS1 Tech, the big 03 Cobra guy there got the opportunity to try out a new Mustang (Has good connections! [;)]) He said that the new GT's are not as powerful as he expected them to be. I would think that someone who wants a GT should get a newer model and spend money on perf. parts instead of shelling out the money for a brand new one.

As for the new Camaros, I am interested in hearing more about them. I heard about them quite awhile back when there were only a handful of sketches floating around. Personally, I think Pontiac should reintroduce the Firebird and forget the GTO. Ford made the same mistake of killing the tbird back in the late 90's and ended up bringing it back (In a not to pleasing new package.)

we need a new wave of american performance cars. ford and chevy should let the past go and create brand new platforms. this retro crap is garbage. chevy axed the camaro, they should just bring out a new car with a fr laout and v8 power. lighter weight, independent suspension, 350, and some damn refinement. who cares if it cost 30 grand. get rid of the plastics.

the problem with the GTO is simple, it is a Holden Monaro with a grand prix like front. the 05 mustang GT has almost 300 rwhp, that is more power than the mach 1. and they only weigh about 100-200 lbs more. on top of that, just about anything is gonna seem slow compared to an 03 cobra

Mach 1 is 305 HP.

The Mach 1 is "rated" at 305 hp...most Mach owners that get their cars dynoed stock are putting down about 285 rwhp. That means the Mach 1 is running about 335 hp

looks like gm is copying ford and going with the vintage look.

I'm about sure there will be a different type of engine besides the LS-1 in 2007 for that Camaro. Especially if gas prices keep acting the way they do.

Yeah i think the 05 GT has 300 Fwhp not rwhp. thus making it even further underpowerd than the mach 1. Im guessing the magazines will get one to run a 13.6 in the 1/4.

really for the retro is the gain back the older gear heads by using old mucle car manes and looks..face it the other folks got the $$$ to buy this sh it......most young people 16-25 don't have the $$ for a 30k car unless they lease or momy/daddy helps and the live at home[&o]
