The dealership hasn't even cashed my check yet and I've already done 2 appearance mods I decided to go for it on the moonroof. It is sweet!! It's an inbuilt, Inalpha EVO. It slides back and pops up. It doesn't open as much as I'd hoped it would, but I'll live with it. I really just wanted the light above me rather than solid roof so it's all good.

My first choice of interior colors was dark charcoal. Dealer couldn't find me one like I wanted so I had to get the Lt. Graphite. That has got to be the ugliest interior I've ever seen in my life. The word 'mustang' in the weave, the cheap polyester nubbly feel of it...ugh...I hated everything about it. So when the moonroof was installed I also had the interior swapped for Leather (it was cheaper than getting the same 'stang with the leather interior...go figure) It is WAY better now!!! Plus they embroidered a red running pony into it to match the exterior color....it looks AWESOME!

Check them out!!

um....hey no offense!!

I did wonder though...mine is an 07...I wonder if it's the same cloth interior as in the 06's? I never checked out the cloth interior on an 06 so I didn't have anything to compare it to, but it seemed like a heinous crime to have such a cool car and have what seemed like a pretty low-grade unattractive interior. I realize though that everybody's got different tastes.

Before I saw my car in person (we had to dealer-swap for it) I'd made the decision to swap the interior to leather, then changed my mind and decided NOT to swap it to save the money for something else. But then I saw it for myself and knew immediately that it had to GO. If it weren't for the 'mustang' word weave through it I may have kept it or in another color maybe it looks better, but just something about it really turned me off.

The dealer didn't do the interior swap, it was done at a shop 2 hrs away that does all their after-market modifications. Same place that did my moonroof, and they're also a certified dealer/installer if I ever get that 'dream glassback' roof :) I checked to see if the shop had a website but I didn't find one through google.

Hot looking sun roof and i love the interior. Did you just get like Take Off leather seat covers and had it embroiderd? I especially like the pony done in red. And lt. graphite isnt a nasty cool and the mustang letterings in the seat i think look pretty good for the simple fact it isnt just a weird 2 tone look like in the previous years

no, these aren't take-off seats. I chose the color from a swatch palette of leather colors...could have put in purple if I was insane enough to do such a stupid thing. Pretty sure these were manufacturered there at the shop (or subcontracted to be mfgred by the shop) and then they embroidered them too.

Never saw the previous years so not sure what the two-tone looks like...I can understand though that they may have been trying to improve on that. My words to them....keep trying LOL

Very nice mods. Makes me want to do the same. I have an '06 with the Charcoal interior (with "MUSTANG" imbeded). I don't notice it much, but I like your seats becasue I notice the pony as soon as I look at it. Very sharp!

Moonroof plus install was $950. The interior swap-out including embroidery was $900.
