These threads are killing me, I have financed through ford for my current car, but there's no way I could qualify for the 0% financing deal :(

Sure would like a gt though :)

Not to worry, we're still here.

The GT is a great car and has lots of power and performance right off the dealership floor, and I must admit, I did think about switching but decided to stick with my V6. The GT vs. V6 thing kind of reminds me of the guys who were running small block Chevys against the Mopar Hemis back in the early 70s. You had to be more creative to win, but it could be done.

The V6 engine's biggest drawback is the 2V heads and the iron block, but it does have a favorable bore to stroke ratio and even with out the aluminum block is lighter which results in a more favorable distribution of weight. If I ever did trade off my 05, it would be if Ford started putting the 250 HP DOHC 3.5 L V6 in the 05 body. Now that would be a package!

Besides, another thing I like about the V6 is the body vs the GT. The bumper covers on the V6 look more like those on the original cars, which has prompted me to try and fit a 69 front spoiler to my 6er. If it works out it's going to look really fine, since with the GT fog lights I added make my baby look a whole lot like the 69 already.

Fizzie, congrats on the new GT, but I've loved your red V6. Where did you trade it in? I could get it for the wife. On your GT, you could do a reverse color scheme from your V6 with a red stripe down the middle...

I traded it in to Joe Cooper Ford of Midwest City in Oklahoma, 405-733-1611 if your serious don't offer more then 19000 they bought it from me for 18000 it has 13000 miles on it (dual flowmasters, razzi window louvers and the white stipes). As far as the color theme I am mixed between red and blue stripes. Not sure what I am doing there.

I am thinking about doing the same this weekend on a GT. I just bought my car in April and I got 9,000 miles on it but one dealership was selling 06 and I would be upside down on my car loan - 18,000 is trade in value while GT is 26K. My payoff is 21,600. I would have about 5-6K negative equity in the car. What could they possibly do if I don't want to put that down? Roll it into the new loan for the GT? My question is did you put anything down? What is your new APR?>

your negative equatiy is 3600 dollars if you got 18000 add that to 26000 you have 29600 divide that by 72 at 0 percent your new payment would be 411.12

Yes they roll the negative in to the new loan and I didn't put one dime down.

I don't think I could ever part with The Mistress.... I mentioned it in the Modified article... The Mistress is the first inanimate object I have ever been emotionally attached to!!! LOL!

Besides... as she sits I would have to sell her privately and wait and wait and wait for the right buyer to come along... I doubt the dealeship would even take her in trade... alhough it might be fun to see there reaction! LOL!

I'm with John on this one!!! In fact, I plan to take Stella to the dealership and give it a go this weekend just to see how they react...LOL. But I could never part with the 6, I've grown way to attached to it, and after my next round of modificaitons on Sept. 9th, I am looking at deep 12's, possibly better!!! We are talking matching GT's with Zex times here. My next car will be a Boss or SE type V8 stang, something with an enginer larger than a 4.6.

But, to all those that crossed over, huge congrats. I'm sure if my car was lightly modded and I didn't have the V6 track bug, I'd be right with ya! As long as we all have stangs, its all that matters.
