I can't remember if this was answered, where does your credit score need to be for the 0% apr?

Just a guess, but most likely somewhere, 700 or up. The less you need a lower interest rate, the more likely you are to get it. :(

I'm gonna head to the dealership this weekend, and talk to a salesmen. If they can some how find me a manual GT that is about the same as i'm payn now, then i will be sold. If they can get it under $400 most likely i'll be driven a bigger engine :). WISH ME LUCK!!!!

I traded it in to Joe Cooper Ford of Midwest City in Oklahoma, 405-733-1611 if your serious don't offer more then 19000 they bought it from me for 18000 it has 13000 miles on it (dual flowmasters, razzi window louvers and the white stipes). As far as the color theme I am mixed between red and blue stripes. Not sure what I am doing there.

You did excellant (18K) on your trade in Fizzie I went around to a few dealers one the most I could get was $18,000 from a dealer and mine car only has 3.000 miles on it.

Congrats!

I don't know how the heck you guys managed to make the switch without bumping your payment up to much, mine went up something like 150 bucks! And that included putting a heavy downpayment on it. I didn't get to take advantage of the 0% though since mine is an 07. That would have helped! No regrets though, the GT is a blast!

I just talked to my dealer and he said a v6 trade for a v8 is workable. If you went through Ford Motor Credit, regardless of your credit, when you purchased your v6 that you will get the 0% for 72 months. That means I'm going for it! Wish me luck!

Actually, even if you have 500, as long as you can get an approval from Ford Financing, you can get the 0% 72 Months. Atleast that's what they said on TV.

Trust me, its really hard not to get approved by Ford

That's exactly what the dealer told me. It's a great deal!

How many are interested now? Was thinking you had to have a 700 or perfect credit score the only thing holding you back? I think this time around I want a black one.

I just got off of the phone with my dealer, they said since I financed through Ford Credit for this car, getting the 0% will be no problem. So now, I figure I have about 3k in equity.... should I get a GT or a LOADED v6 convertible?

Yeah, GT. I might miss my IUP though, mycolor is nice, and so are the leather seats. I am going tomorrow to check out a new GT, looks like I have some thinking to do. Oh, they have 3 gt manuals, a red one, a silver one, and a blue one. I didn't ask if it was Sonic or windveil...

Don't compromise or you'll be looking to "upgrade" again in a year or so! Get the loaded GT vert if you can afford it!

Ok... just for giggles... stopped at the local dealership.... They've got a couple of Saleen's out front... Big "HUGE SALE GOING ON NOW!" sign out front... so I stopped... I said I was interested in the Saleen coupe... The guy was "Make an offer, we got to move it" Talking with the guys some more, turns out he like a liquidation specialist they brought in for this weekend.... and that the dealership has had the Saleen on the lot far to long and does really need to move it before another interest payment! Car stickered at 44K plus addtional $3K for wheel.. bottom line $47K... but I bet they would take $40K! LOL! And to top it off.. they would do 0% for 72 months!!! wow!! On that car it really surprised me!!! Of course all the other sales guys were busy checking out The Mistress! LOL!

Congrats!!

It just seems that there are less and less of us "Sixers" here now...

Edit* The day Scrming or Rygen trades in for an 8.. a great void will be here

I don't think I could ever part with The Mistress.... I mentioned it in the Modified article... The Mistress is the first inanimate object I have ever been emotionally attached to!!! LOL!

Besides... as she sits I would have to sell her privately and wait and wait and wait for the right buyer to come along... I doubt the dealeship would even take her in trade... alhough it might be fun to see there reaction! LOL!

I'm with John on this one!!! In fact, I plan to take Stella to the dealership and give it a go this weekend just to see how they react...LOL. But I could never part with the 6, I've grown way to attached to it, and after my next round of modificaitons on Sept. 9th, I am looking at deep 12's, possibly better!!! We are talking matching GT's with Zex times here. My next car will be a Boss or SE type V8 stang, something with an enginer larger than a 4.6.

But, to all those that crossed over, huge congrats. I'm sure if my car was lightly modded and I didn't have the V6 track bug, I'd be right with ya! As long as we all have stangs, its all that matters.

Good to hear!!

I'd really like to hear what the dealership would give for your car Rygen lol

And that brings a question to me about Scrming, I know he did the motor swap. Is there some rule about having
matching numbers to sell the car, or just a large depreciation?

Yes, I believe there is some paper work involved if I wanted to sell the mistress... Scott mentioned he would have to provide me with something...

It really has no effect on scrmings car in 99% of the time sale wise or depreciation wise either, the only time matching numbers really matter is on collector cars value wise like old muscle cars, classics etc. Scrming car it doesn't mater and he does not even even have to mention it’s a different motor when he sells it.

On Rygens car very rare will a dealer offer more for a modded or FI car they would most likely offer him around 15K regardless of the turbo in about 90% of the time.

Hey Rygn if you decide for some reson to trade it in PM me first let me know how much they offer I could catch a plane Monday with C-Check in hand your only a few states away. :)

You posted while I was typing :) yea if you tell the person it was a different motor it would be good to have a recipt to prove it but you don't have to mention it there for no need for paper work.

Most dealerships don't want to touch a modded car... they want it as close to stock as possible... that way it appeals to more people... Watch one of the "Sell this house" programs... First then they do is remove all the personal item, pictures, knick knacks, etc.. They then neutralize the colors... same thing with a trade in... a modded car will attract a lot few potential buyers...
