86 SVO w/ 135k miles, sunroof, black, runs good but needs paint. Guy is asking $3,000 but told me he'd take $2800 and that was the lowest he'd go. Body is pretty straight other than a few dings. With some paint I think it could be a nice car. So what do you guys think? Should I buy it for $2,800?
I have an 85 svo and love it. I also had a 89 5spd hatch 5.0 with some mods and when I got out of the gt and drove the svo it was night and day. I ended up selling the gt to buy some performance parts for the svo. Go figure people always ask why do you drive and mod the 4 cylinder so much and yet your dd (95gt 5spd vert) is still stock.
All any of us can really tell you is if buying for investment and a quick turn around then don't waste your time. If you want to drive one of the best balanced fox bodies they made and have alot of fun then go for it.
