when i put on the ROUSH side skirts, it took less then an hour to pull the old ones off, and fully install the new ones.  it's one of the easier body mods.  the hardest part is getting the old side skirts off (the christmas trees, but they aren't too hard to get off, just tedious)

Thanks for the write up. This was really easy except for getting the panel clips out of the bottom of the car. I destroyed about 75% of them, and managed to snap one in half. Pepboys/Autozone have similar replacement clips, but are too short. I ran out of light tonight to finish, but I'll see if the shorter ones will work tomorrow, otherwise I may have to try to reuse some of the ones that weren't completely torn up from the removal.

Thanks again!

For all you that couldnt find the right rockers..

I couldnt find Windveil anywhere and then Brenspeed had em.

They are about $50 more than v6mustangstuff or newtakeoff or Ninosport.. but i guess Id rather pay that not have em at all.. plus it gives good business to a sponsor..

So if all else fails.. try Brenspeed.

..hmm, I think I bought the wrong christmas trees..

The part number on the bags I got is W709883-S300 ... which is not exactly the same as the number that is suggested on this HOW TO.. any ideas what these are for?

Thanks.

I took one of them to the local Ford dealership with the part number listed in this thread. They said they are like $5 for a pack which comes with four, and the don't stock them.  The parts salesperson just asked me how many I needed, went to the back, and handed me 18 for FREE. Apparantly even the dealership uses "off-brand" clips in their body shop. Those looking for the clips may just want to check a local body shop. Apparantly these are common, cheapo parts used on a lot of Ford vehicles.

Just an update..
The part number I posted a few posts back is for the one big christmas tree that goes in near the wheel well.. you can reuse it from your stock skirts so you dont need them.. I returned them for the real christmas trees only to find that I did not even need to open the bags..

After pulling down the rockers as far as I could, I just slipped them out of the fasteners and slipped the new ones in their place.. I did not even remove the fasteners from the car..
I used the stock rockers as leverage to pull them down as much as I could.  When I slipped the new ones on, one half of the fastener was still kind of stuck inside the rocker (sorry if that doesnt make sense), so I just used a flat head to dig them out..

Easy as pie..

First side took 20 minutes.. second side took 5

If anyone has their stock V6 rockers and would like to sell them, let me know. I could also trade my stock black GT rockers for them. Whichever.
