Gotta love the mighty Z28.. If you can beat a 98 or newer Z28 you probally have a fast car.I think Evos are kinda cool for what it is but wouldnt pay 30k for a 13 sec car.But i would pay 30k for mid 12 sec car hehehhe Gotta love the slowbra!!I dont think nothing sounds as mean as a LS1 !!!And yes before someone jumps on and says all you gotta do to the evo to hit 12s is this and that! I say its still a EVo.Good kill! Keep the racing vids coming all i love the new stuff.

Not really a weight reduction, Mitsu is offering a second model to the EVO line up, it's called the RS, it shaves about 150 lbs off the car, no power locks or windows, no ac, no wing, no graphics, no sunroof, etc. That car will hit 13.1 easy.

The EVO RS bases at 26 grand, and doesn't offer many options at all. comes in either white or red.

Think about it. 13.1 for 27-28 grand after taxes and title... beat that with a brand new Mach I...

LOL i saw 13.2s ...not that 13.1 is much differnce but like i said before my friends just picked one up 30g. Im sure you can maybe get a rebate somewhere. Well i check out the mach 1 site and see alot of stockers hitting 12s so dont go that route. Also been watching a ole man at the track once a month is a AOD and street tires run 13.5s. Not discing the EVO. Just not for the prices i have seen . Maybe next year when the Army gives me a pay raise hahaha.

No one ever said the EVO or STi were built for top end. I'd like to see that Camaro autoX with that EVO. I'm fairly sure the 3.73 gears are the BIGGEST help to that Z...without them he wouldn't pull like he did.

You have to be careful when you play that game.... both cars were modded. One could easily turn your argument against you and say .... "well if the Evo hadn't have had 22lbs of boost..... blah blah blah" I'm not trying to flame you here (though I'm sure it looks like it), I've seen you around enough to know you're a cool guy. (LOL and we certainly know you're thick skinned to be hanging around a Stang site w/ an Si Civic. Props)

All i have to say is, it's still a mitsubishi! If im going to shell out 30 grand for a rally car, its going to be the WRX, there's a better chance it wont fall apart.

I should have posted the original link. Some guy came in there and said, "well what happens from a dig" and then someone posted up a video of their nearly stock car running with DR's at the strip.....he ripped like a 1.6 60' in his LS1 TA compared to the 2.1 or so of the Evo. AWD is nice, but I still haven't seen them cutting 1.3 and better 60's like REALLY fast RWD cars do.

Those EVO's are nice as hell though, my friend has one. The guy in the video even said, "yea I told the guy that he shouldn't have bought that car, he has nearly more done in mods than I have invested in my whole car."

Maybe he wants to take it off-road?
