Well I am going to rebuild my engine and want to redo the exhaust too, so I was wondering what headers and muffler would go best with the Bassani X pipe.  I dont want the car to loud cause I want to be able to talk to people when I am in the car because this is my daily driving car....so if you can help me please send me a reply.

what kind of hassles come along with long tubes, im almost positive im goin to go with the jba shorties but only because 2 years from now when i have to go to inspection ill still be able to swap in my old stock h pipe to pass emissions. but 2 years from now i bet there is going to be more illegal things on my car then the exhaust so im still unsure.....

btw. i wouldnt go with mac, especially if you live in a climate similiar to mine (the northeast) a lot of rain and snow, from what i hear mac quality isnt the greatest and wont last through winter without rust already appearing

My car came with mac shorty headers when I got it, and they're not rusting out. I haven't a clue how long they've been on, but I'm guessing it's been quite a while. Any mild steel will rust out. Aluminized is better, and stainless is even better. Get something appropriate for the climate and your driving conditions.

bbk's are worse..the jba is a nice piece but high in price....you could have a nice used set coated for about the same price and then they wouldn't rust
