Default What size carb would you run on it?

Just got my 289 back from the builder, Edelbrock heads 60cc heads #60229, Comp Cam XE262H-10, Roller Rockers, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Flat top pistons with 9.3 compression. I'm leaning towards a 650..

The question at this point is what would you gain from the 750 over the 650.

besides cost and possibly minimal top end gains, I'm guessing the 650 will be plenty.

1150 Dominator, TWO of them on a tunnel ram...

no not really.. I would run the 650 unless you have a 750 layin around somewhere... It would work in a pinch.

Yup, that's what I was thinking.. According to Edelbrock, this combo should work with a 600 - 750 CFM carb. I know my cam is a little more aggressive then what they listed but, I figured the 650 would be the one to go with.

I was not 100% sure so I wanted to get some feedback from the forum prior to spending $325.. Looks like I have a relatively new Edelbrock 500 for sale...

I might use the AFB style Edelbrocks on my 2x4 302 intake, but most likely I will just fond some old AFB carbs rebuild them and use them instead. I like Holley much better than Edelbrock carbs. Never had good luck with the E carb at all... but that is just me. I am picky.

I have always had good luck with Edelbrock and not so good luck with Holley.. Well, it goes on ebay in the next 24 to 48 hrs, here's the carb listing in the for sale section. http://www.mustangforums.com/m_18793...tm.htm#1879304

As far as the 650 cfm, yeah that is just about right. But, why Edelbrock carb? Why did you come to that conclusion?
