Default A new one and an old one

Hey all, I am new here, but have posted a few times on the Classic Mustangs forum.

Got the new one, a 2006 GT Premium, manual tranny, in the Satin Silver Metallic, about 4 weeks and 2000 miles ago. Couldn't be happier with it. And over the past 5 years, did a ground-up restomod on a 1972 hardtop. I will start with the old one, that is MY car, I did all the work for it, including the paint, in my garage.

351 Windsor motor, FMX transmission, complete suspension and steering linkage replacement, conversion to 4-piston front discs (SSBC kit), all stainless steel lines, nice big sway bars, weld-in subframe connectors, and a boatload of replacement sheet metal, just to rattle off a few items. And 18 by 9 Chrome Bullitts all around, yeah, I know, everybody either loves 'em or hates 'em. Either way, the car handles like a dream in the corners now. Only bummer is I know I could have fit 18 by 10s back there, but I couldn't bear waiting for a 1-month backorder.

Hope you like... I'd post a pic of the new one but we all know what they look like stock, don't we?

Hey all, thanks, appreciate the compliments. Randy, awesome setup on your '88. One of my friends here has a 1988 LX 5.0 that he bought new. It is nearing 200K miles and never uses even a drop of oil. He hasn't even done much on the motor, just cold air and exhaust, but that added a lot. And he swapped in a 1993 cobra axle (I believe 1993 was the only year the cobra got a 4-lug axle). Anyway that got him 3.73 trac-loc gears and rear disc brakes. That thing will throw you back in the seat GOOD when you get on it.
