I'm leaving for a road trip on Tuesday that be about 1900 miles round trip plus running around. I just hit 2000 miles and will probably have about another 300 before I leave. So should I get the first oil change before I leave or after I get back? Or should I get it done while I'm on my trip?

I was just curious what some of the people on here thought. I leaning toward getting it done before I leave and switching the original oil out for synthetic. This will be the first oil change since I bought it.

Definitely change it before you hit the road. You're looking at possibly having 4500 miles on that original oil by the time you return, and it's NOT synthetic oil AND it's the break-in oil. Change that crap out and put clean stuff in....and then consider changing it again soon after you return.

Yeah I'm going to try and skip out of work early on Monday to get it done before I leave Tuesday morning.

Do it before and after. with the low miles it wont hurt plus you are going to have lots of stop and go.
