Here it is (see sig)! My insurance only went up $20/year so my agent quoted me yesterday. I feel like I am dreaming; this worked out too well! It was kindof sad cleaning out my V6er though; hope she goes to a good home.

That's a beauty Wildcat! Horrific_Ending: V6 was not through Ford. I had to have some cash down to make this deal work. My credit rating is good not spectacular. Good luck with a co-signer through FMC. If you don't have a great score look forward to money down.

WOW. I am also thinking of going down to the dealer and getting in a GT. I am curious...how do they react to all the mods you put on your car? So far I just had my bumper cut and dual exhaust put in my car...would that really knock down the price? Who here turned in a seriously modded car and got a great deal?

Horrific_Ending: My ins was $189/mo. but that is for 2 vehicles; my husbands 05 Xterra is on there as well and I don't know the breakdown b/w the two right off hand. We are both in our late 20's and have good driving records.

It didn't help or hurt in my case. Mine wasn't extensively modded. Just hood and side scoops, side stripes and dual exhaust. I put the car back to stock tune and it was all good.

Aren't you people getting killed on your trade-ins?? I mean, buying a car new and trading it in in 1.5 years usually gets you killed.... losing many thousands. What did you all pay, and what did you get? I paid $24,000 for my vert as an '05 leftover, and I figure I would get $16,000 or so trade-in. $8000 is just too big a bath to take.

I think it really depends on what interest rate you're paying right now.

I had my other car for 1 yr 9mos. I'm getting a car that stickered for over $9000.00 more for three dollars less a mo. payment with some $$ down. I had a rate like 13.9% before.

Yikes... if you had a credit rating that got you a 13.9% loan 18 months ago, and now you qualified for a 0% loan, you must have done some serious credit fixing in the last year. Why was you old rate so horrible?

beaustang Congrats on the new GT, sounds like a great deal. I'll stick with my V6 and get the X-Charger in a year and be happy as a pig in ..... +1. I would love a GT but i'm under 25 and am not sure how much more insurance i would have to pay. Not to mention gas prices. So i'll just follow in beaustang's path and go from their.

Why was you old rate so horrible? No down payment last time. This time I did. Some of these questions are pretty personal. Why not go down to the dealer and see what he can do. Talk to your insurance representative and see what he can do. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up on the deal. You can figure out what you can do on your own. if you like your V6 then byall means keep your car. In my case to upgrade that car I might as well have bought the GT.

I paid around $19,600 + tax for my V6 w/Pony Package a year ago got $15,000 for it on trade. I wasn't really happy with that given the car only had 3,400 miles on it but I've seen similar, new 06 Pony Package cars in the local paper discounted to around what I paid a year ago. Given that I was paying 7-8 percent on the car loan I already had through Ford, taking advantage of 0% financing allowed me to get a much nicer car for another $50 a month more than I was already paying. Had I decided to go with a GT coupe, it would have actually lowered my payments $30 a month. Others results may vary as I received D-Plan pricing on both my 06 V6 and my 06 GT convertible. The GT convertible I bought at 0% stickered for around $34,500 and I actually paid just over $30,000 for it. In my case, not only did i get a decent discount off sticker on a GT...Ford's carrying it for me at 0%. I feel like I got a great deal on a GT and the dealer will probably make some $$$ reselling my v6. No complaints here.

I would show the salesmen that web site if they give you some problems. If they want to sell you a car (and they do) they'll honor the deal. they probably just haven't done their homework. They might be thinking that the tent sale and the offer are the same dates. Nice '67 BTW.
