Nope, false. Doesn't give any gains.

Everyone I ever asked about it say's NO. I personally always wondered how adding a spacer would do anything at all? It just doesn't make any sense. None at all. It has to be the stupidest gimmick I have ever seen.

My throttle body spacer gives me the same performance as my 4.0 badge. Hope that helps.

It adds air space to the intake plenum keeping rpm's a little higher everyone will critizie me most people dont have it. I think it has a little increase considering it does add more air and make it flow better.

I don't know if I'd get one or not but.............. my son has an 03 Mach1. We recently intalled a intake pelunium (SP?) spacer that was recomended by most of the guys on the forums he's in. It does the same thing a spacer would do and just increase the voulme of air allowed to the cylinders.
Why don't some of you rich guys get it dynoed !

It' a very different engine that responds to mods differently. TB spacers do provide gains on some cars. Not ours though, this has been proven more then once with before and after dynos.

The air that counts is the air that gets into the cylinder. Increasing the size of the plenum would ONLY help if there was not enough air available to fill the cylinder to atmospheric pressure WHILE the intake valve was open. With a CAI, I believe air flow is so good that there is no limitation, and therefore having a slightly larger plenum space is of NO value.

And... dyno tests have shown zero gain. They provide no value, unless holding down a newpaper on a windy day.

I would be more than willing to donate $10 to this cause...

If everone chiped in and bought him one, have him put it on his car. And let him tell us the results. Considering he is willing to pay for a dyno, before and after. Its like a 5min install.

Anyone else interested in donating some money to this cause? TO SETTLE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!?

I have one on my car. But my car is not totaly stock. Ive also got only 8000k on my ODO. Got my car new 7 months ago.

Others have done before and after dynos with throttle body spacers... no effect. Useless. Already settled.

dynos dont lie, they do nothing, a larger TB wont do anything either unless you port the intake

I allways thought more air in + more air out = more hp and tq. I guess buying a throttle body, throttle body spacer, and cai is useless then? Being sarcastic. So I have no improvement over stock. Im **** out of luck almost a grand in mods. Having the spacer gives more space in the plenum, if anything I think there will be an improvement. Regardless of a port match with your intake manifold or plenum. Every man has thier opinion thats mine.

PS still waiting for that dyno link

O/T.. Its pretty cool to look back at that link and see where members were with their mods.
Like Rygen without the turbo, and Scrming without the S/C.
Alot of memebers here have come aloooong way from stock lol

Ok, you may resume to debating the worthless TBS.

I agree cool to see what people have done

from rygen he never expected what he would do :P

I will!!! Most 350z's Ive seen are running 14.3 - 13.77 in the 1/4 mile. I'm gunning for 13.0!!!! But if I 13.4, I will still be very very happy. I can't wait for this years track season. My LCA"s are on order, after that I should be ready to go....unless.....I get that new blow by racing 70mm TB. Hmmm....

...yes I know, I'm sick. I got the mod bug bad!
