does the 06 saleen extremes come with this suspension component or was this added on after saleen. It looks like some sort of rear sub frame connector. this pic was from some dealer selling a s281extreme on ebay.

The red bar going from right to left is a factory installed pan-hard bar. It's function is to keep the rear end in line with the body of the car and not move latterally during cornering. I also see the two black flat bars are connecting the rear portion of the sub-frame to the very rear of the car. I have not seen sub-frame connections in this location, but there is probably a certain amount of flex that is being addressed by these supports. I see that the springs are over the rear axel, but do not see the shocks within them. One more conspicuously absent item is a torque bar. There are no upper control arms (although the lowers are tubular), so there must be something to address this issue. I can also see what looks to be damage to the exhaust pipes directly above the sway bar. Looks as though there was a little trouble getting the pipes to change such a radical direction.
My car is coming back from Griggs today (I hope ) and will post some pics of the new suspension.

That is an aftermarket panhard bar, looks like BMR. The factory panhard bar brace is there, but its hard to see in the pic.
Also, on S197's there is only a single UCA, attached above the differential case and the shocks are to the outside of the springs.
Those flat black 'support' rods do seem odd connected to the spare tire well.
Yeah, looks like the exhaust pipes have some nasty bends in them.
my exhaust pipes are press'd like that as well. i kinda thought they where damaged but its how they made the bendz
Looks a little restricted to me. Especially on the passenger side. Hey Polk, I do see the shocks now, but obviously, the picture had been altered after I posted
So WTF is up with those exhaust pipes - that looks nasty and just not frickin right [&:] Anyone elses do that?!?! I'll have to look at mine when I get home this weekend
