Default advice?

ok i need some advice...im am looking into buying a 1985 mustang gt....the conditions are as follows:

carburated 302, engine has lower end knock after if gets hot, might actually be a wrist pin noise. body is in fair condition, the doors are a little rotted has 8.8 posi rear end with 3.55 gears good tranny 5 speed.

for $650, is that worth it? and will it be expensive to get the engine diagnosed to see what the knocking is?

Default RE: advice?

Pictures would help.
I thing it is not a bad deal but it depends on how much cash you want to spend to restore her.
You can't get a GT in PA for $650 even a 4 eye.
Doors are easy to find in junkyards.
How many miles on her. Sounds like its time for a rebuild.
If you have an extra $1500 to $3000 to rebuild the engine I would say go for it.

engine knock? Eh.. I wouldn't trust the vehicle man... My advice would be to find a decent a-to-b car for the moment w/ working a/c etc. and continue saving up for your mustang. You don't wanna get stuck with a 650 dollar **** box that might be on it's last leg.
