Default double to single din?

i was wondering if its possible to take a double din with the 6-cd changer into a single din with the cd player and radio seperate.

Why would you wanna do that?? and to answer your question you would have to get a whole new front center console and itll be a waste of money...

Does it matter why?

the dash is the same, you can replace the front of it and convert it(ebay has them). Your other option is to get a universal din pocket that will slide into the spot above where you mount your radio.

there are two T-15 screws under the radio. Once they are out the piece pops right out.

is it also possible to convert it the oppostie way he wants. from 2 singles to one double? i hate the look of the two singles but i am installing a pioneer HU and i cant find a single pocket for the place of the cd player and can someone tell me where to get the right wiring harness for my car

metra makes a single din universal pocket that will slide right into the single spot, available at most audio shops.

You should be able to go either way, never tried it myself but the dash is prettymuch the same.
