Dumps make the car louder and probably deeper.

You putting out about 350+hp? 1 3/4 is pretty big, most likely too big for mostly stock. It'll cost you some torque.
If you like the dumps, stay with them. I didn't notice much in the way of a noise difference with my truck when I switched from stock manifolds to headers, or my subaru, so I don't know that it'll sound any different.

subaru = more reliable, better fuel economy, better passenger comfort, better turning radius, better water sealing (I don't get wet while driving in the rain), better handling, better brakes, etc.

Sure, it's not as fast, but there's no reason for me to leave it stock. It's quite a bit faster than it was the day I bought it.

And I stand by my opinion that headers versus stock exhaust manifold doesn't produce a huge difference in noise.

Gunner, I'm a moderator on a subaru forum. It's not my fault that Ford produces an inferior product. I bought my mustang for the engine and tranny. Eventually they're going into something else. I was considering building a Cobra kit car, but after driving this leaky POS in the rain I've decided I probably want to swap it into something that won't leak - another Japanese car, more specifically a Miata.
In the mean time I'm going to be around here trying to pick up what info I can on this thing.

OK first of all any car can be made fast...anycar can be made to brake better, or handle better...that's the world of tuning a car to what you want!

The RS is set up for autocross and rallycross. Haven't been able to make it out though.
I should hope that on a dry paved surface any V8 mustang should walk all over my RS in any race other than a close course autocross. That 40' turning circle is a killer. ;)

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate mustangs, I just feel that they (like most of what the big three make) are lacking in the quality control. But Subaru doesn't make a big v8 powered ragtop. So what do you do? Buy the next best thing. ;)

Oh, but if you want to run the 1/4, I'm all for it if you yank out 4 plug wires to make it an even match.

What?

Too good to race a twin turbo 426 Hemi in a 2500 pound shell (including rool cage to stiffen the chassis)?

Where are you going to put that Hemi?
And I think the first time you spool it up you'll twist the unit body in half.
You going to make something of a tube chassis to bolster it?

Nah. Tube the stock unibody and slap on a 30 some odd point roll cage made of titanium....it'll be engineered to literally become the chassis and the stock unibody just on top of it.

So you sure you don't wanna run me? It's just a Saturn.

Just a Saturn hehe. Any car that has a 426 Hemi in it , wether its n/a , blown or turboed is scarey. The only thing you could do to make it scarier would be put it in a VW beatle or maybe a Geo Metro or somethin haha
