today l saw one in front of me and he wanted play by accerating fast and getting corners fast but l wasnt available for race sio l ignored.. so l wonder stcok for stock, from a dig or from a roll how would this race be?

drivers race? from a dig they will definetely ut a couple cars on a us cuz they got AWD.. how about after that? can we catch them or they will stay like that and also how about top end? the faster we go, more chance stang has or less?

In that case I was coming home about an hour ago from the store when I spot an 06 GT[sm=badbadbad.gif] (paper plates still) only problem was I was going West on Orangethorpe and he was heading South on Stanton[:@], So I jump across 2 lanes[8D] turn left and noticed a cop[sm=bustedsign.gif] coming Northbound on Stanton but guess he didn't see me[sm=happy046.gif]. I drive about 15mph waiting for the Stangs light to change and when it does he immediately catches up and we stop at a red light, I look over to him point forward and he nods.... Light turns green and[sm=gears.gif] Bye Bye GT, I put about 4-5 cars on him out the hole and held him there.... I wasn't to happy with the race since he spun pretty bad so we give it a try from a 20mph roll 3 honks and we're off I jump on him about a 1 car and pulled another 1/2 car before shifting into 3rd then I just held him there till 110mph without pulling nor him gaining....
The guy was really cool first thing he said was "Those Things Are Fast", I just told him it was OK and complimented his car(black nice[sm=signs007.gif]) then we were on our separate ways...

You'd be surprised how hard it is to launch AWD correctly. Sure, you can rev it to 6 grand and dump the clutch, but not if you want your gears or axles to last long. You have to do like a controlled slip on the clutch which takes some practice to do without roasting the clutch or bogging down like crazy.
The top end is OK. Honestly at higher speeds the GT has the advantage because of the STi's gearing. Stock STi gearing is so short it's unbelievable. You're basically shifting into 5th gear (out of 6) in a quarter mile. I think first gear in an STi redlines at like just under 30mph or something like that... I'm too lazy to look up the gear redline speeds, but I think I posted it on here before.
I still think, stock for stock, from what I hear (I haven't driven an 05-06 GT so I couldn't say from experience) the GT will do better the faster you go. Dig the STi has the definitely advantage, especially if a) the driver is good or b) the driver doesn't give a flying **** about his drivetrain.
l just replied on that thread and he what l said...' did you put 1. 1/2 cars on a stock stang ? l thought maybe it would be like a bus. actually was he stock?

I didn't race him in my Slowbra I raced him in my STI...
BTW...WRX 5th gear in the STI's(05 at least) redlines at almost 140mph but it starts losing power at about 6300rpm's...

I live in So. Cal... I haven't taken it out to the 1/4 track yet only the 1/8 and it ran an 8.6...
