Is this really even feasible? People ask me what kind of mods I'm doin to my new 06 V6, and automatically they ask "droppin in a v8??". It would be a lot of work, and a lot of money. any idea what that kind if project would entail/cost?
Welcome to the forums. Why buy a six if you're going to replace it with an eight? Especially an 06. Goodbye warranty. Can be done, but not the smartest decision to make.

It's funny you should ask this..as I get different answers depending on who I ask. Some people run away screaming when I ask about engine swaps, others shrug it off like it's changing a tire. According to one professional, and I say professional because he has 2 stangs...one SC one TC, both running 9s and lower, because of the modular setup, you don't necessarily need an entire new wiring harness. One consistent answer is that the best bet is finding a wrecked GT or better and frankensteining what you need.

Funny you should say that, after a quick read of a test drive article on the CS6, my suspicions are determined that due to the weight distribution, the 6er can be made into a better handling car than the 8. Also proven today when I late-braked on my buddy today and made up about 3-4 carlengths around a corner.
It's kinda like how Yamaha teams designed the R1 and R6. They're competing designs, you see. One does some things better than the other.

Hey I've got a question I don't think anyone's asked. I'm coming up on 100k miles, would it make more sense to build on my current engine or swap it? What if I replace internals?
