Default intake manifold?

Has anybody seen any after market intake manifolds?? If so, have they proven to make good gains?

Why does everyone bash ssm? They do have a 10 sec v6 you know. And they make 500+ hp 3.8's all the time. I talked to tom and he says they are making one for their test car and depending on the gains they might put it in production.

we bash them because at first they were talkin bout how good the 4.0s were, then when they realized there was profit to be made, they decided the 4.0s were unfit for boost.

yes they have a 10 sec v6, but its not a production based block so who cares?

So they started talking trash about the 4.0 to get people to buy their parts?

That's being a bit overly vitriolic, I think. SSM is the only outfit willing to invest making cams and pistons available to us right now. Let's not punish them for that. I've been in contact with big name cam houses asking about future availablity of bumpsticks for us and the responses weren't encouraging. The only thing that I have against SSM is that they haven't provided any dyno proven results for their parts. Show me what the parts can do and I might invest.
