Hi all, nice to see some forums that do the Mustang justice ;)

My names Joe, I'm 17, and I recently bought a 66 Mustang coupe from a guy I guy I wait tables with. The car is a tad roughed up cosmetically ( sporting a faded yellow and some rust ) w/ a 289, Automatic 3 Speed Tranny. Other than that...the car is amazing, my dream car as a matter of fact. Happy to say that my dad is a little jealous too :)

Anyway, I just had a couple questions for some fellow Mustang owners as I really want to do this car justice.

1. Should I stick w/ the 289? I'm very content w/ the engine being that its a V8 at all.

2. Are there affordable upgrades to give a 289 some kick and more muscle?

3. What can I do in general to make the car louder?

4. The Paint Job selection. I just finished watching "Gone in 60 Seconds" and looooove the paint job on the Shelby GT...not sure if it would look right on a coupe. Your thoughts? Also...I'd love to see some other coupes and hear your ideas for paint.

Finally...if you live in Florida ( Lake Mary Here ) and know of a good painter/body shop that can help me out, I dont care how long the drive is :)
