Default Idle problem after repair

I had a heater hose burst on me, replaced it no problem, but now the car is has an idle problem. It revs 2000-2500 in neutral, used to be more like 1000, but it doesn't do it all the time, seems worse when cold. The idle also seems to 'hunt around', which I assume is the computer trying to compensate for whatever the problem is?

I'm thinking vacuum problem? Or maybe when the hose burst and sprayed coolant all over, it messed up something else?

Any help would be appreciated!

Vacumm test, coolant goes south and is unlikely to hurt idle, did the system get burped good after replacing the hose?

Thanks for the reply.

How do you burp the cooling system? I just replaced the hose and refilled the coolant.

How do I do a vacuum test?

just try whiping down the MAF and IAC and clean up the engine

unplug the battery for 10 minutes to clear codes and see wat happens

well if your car is a 87 you have a SD fuel system. your map sensor is right near the heater hoses and it might of gotten lose or a vacum line came off.
