You again!! LoL
I've got 3.73 gears in right now..stepped up from my stock 3.27s. Personally I love them. When you get your shift kit in and when you get the gears in, you're going to feel a HUGE difference. It's not really a gain in HP, but it's something you can definately feel. I always say don't fear the gear and go with 4.10s, but it really depends on how much highway driving you're doing. 3.73s are a nice step up from stock and you will like the results either way. It's really personal preference. Just remember, either way yo go you will want to buy an installation kit for the gears as well.
As far as other easy mods... catted (or even off-road) X-pipes will give you a slight boost and will sound better. And catback flowmasters will compliment them nicely. You can also get some underdrive pulleys to add a little HP. Maybe change your headers too. Those mods are fairly cheap until you bolt on the S/C )something I'm buying within a week.)

mainly it will be drivin on highway and on blvd's lol so how much do 410's kill your mpg, and what packs a harder punch? and your getting a s/C in a week, hmm that sounds good for me right now, what kind you going with and how much psi your runnin

Click on this link here and it will bring you to a calculator that will show you what speed you will be at in various gears at various RPMs. But when you do this, keep in mind that if you are going to be hitting the throttle hard, you can't really count 4th because its overdrive. I wouldn't recommend shifting into OD at WOT. But you can enter your tire size and speed and use that to figure out what your RPMs will be. You can then try different gear ratios to figure out what the RPMs would be for each. Personally, if I were going to do a lot of highway driving, I'd stay with the 3.73s.
It doesn't help with gas mileage, but it gives you a rough idea of how different it will be.
As far as superchargers... I was going to go with a KB, but I backed out again and I finally settled on the Vortec V-1 S-Trim. It pushes 6 - 8 PSI.

where are you getting the transgo shiftkit from? I need one as well i have an automatic. I'm thinking about going with 3.73 gears. i'm in the military so i travel a lot so i don't want to kill my highway mpg.

Wait a minute... is this guy trying to tell me that going from 3.27 to 3.73 will not decrease my top speed? I might not be a top expert like he is, but I know for a 100% absolute fact that it did indeed decrease my top speed. I guess his explaination would make sense in a 5-speed but that's not the case for an AOD / AODE.
