Default Surging?

Just installed my C&L cai/SCT tuner, Magnaflow axle-back on my '06 V6 w/auto. It's a warm day here, 86 degrees, and I had just kicked it into passing gear to merge into traffic and get over to a left turn lane. I didn't notice anything different sitting at the light, other than it seemed to be idling a little high, but looked to be about 800 on the tach. Running the 89 tune from Evol Perf, I've had nothing but smiles since putting it all on the car Saturday.

The light turns green, and I start to make my turn when the engine starts sputtering and surging (like it's out of gas). I left off the gas, and it went away. It almost felt like the car was tripping over it's own feet (if it had them).

Anyone else have this happen? IF so, what's the cause/cure? Bad gas? Heat related? Aeration in the oil?

Default RE: Surging?

I've had that, generally only happens when I punch it from a roll though. Seems to have gone away since I used this tuner so IDK if its the same problem..

edit: I have a feeling that my sputtering was a result of a combination between the throttle delay and my instinct to take off the gas from a lack of response. Not sure if you noticed anything like that. Basically giving gas for no response so you let up then push down again slower for a few jerks and finally acceleration.

That's what I think it was. The combination of traction control and some oil coming up off the asphalt at that intersection.

I'll have to watch for that again and see if it happens again.

Thanks for the help.
